KEY POINTS:
The majority of the Chiefs squad will get game time in tomorrow's first Super 14 rugby pre-season match against the Hurricanes in Wanganui tomorrow.
Chiefs coach Ian Foster expected to give game time to 28 players in the 80-minute match which will have extended water breaks to allow for changes.
Foster said he was looking forward to the preseason hit-out to try out combinations and to give his players important game time.
"With the season starting earlier than ever before, the Chiefs' two preseason matches are crucial in getting us organised and ready for our first competition game in just over two weeks time," Foster said.
Foster has not named any injured Chiefs players for tomorrow's match.
Three of his key locks are unavailable for tomorrow's game with captain Jono Gibbes feeling unwell, Toby Lynn downed by a minor ankle strain and All Black Keith Robinson not due to officially rejoin the Chiefs squad until January 22.
Other Chiefs players not selected due to injury were: Craig West (serious ankle injury), Tasesa Lavea (minor calf strain) and Anthony Tahana (moderate hamstring strain).
