Crusaders hooker Corey Flynn is flying home to Christchurch after spraining his ankle in his side's 14-42 defeat to the Stormers in Cape Town.
Flynn, back in the team after recovering from a fractured ankle bone, was replaced in the 18th minute of the match after spraining the same left ankle.
The injury is unrelated to the old fracture and a scan has cleared Flynn of any bone injury.
Dan Perrin has travelled to South Africa as Flynn's replacement for the Crusaders' final match of their South Africa tour against the Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday morning (NZT).
