The playing future of Chiefs speedster Sosene Anesi is up in the air this morning.
The winger and fullback suffered a neck fracture during last weekend's Super 14 match against the Hurricanes.
CEO Gary Dawson says he will hopefully come out of hospital today.
He says Anesi has to have an x-ray today and all going well will be home with a neck brace and will not have to have an operation.
Dawson says it is too early to tell whether Anesi will play rugby again.
