Chiefs first five-eighth Stephen Donald has been linked with a move to English rugby club Bath.
BBC Sport today reported that the 27-year was thought to have signed a 2-1/2 year contract and would leave for the premiership club in November.
Donald, who has played 22 tests for the All Blacks, is off-contract at the Chiefs after the current Super 15 season.
The BBC said he was seen as a direct replacement for South African Butch James, who left Bath this season.
