Stephen Donald returns from injury to take his place at first five-eighth for the Chiefs in a Super 14 pre-season rugby match on Saturday.
The Chiefs play the Hurricanes in Taupo, with Donald today confirmed to take his place in the No 10 jersey after overcoming an ankle injury.
They are already without another No 10 in Tasesa Lavea, who suffered an ankle injury of his own against the Highlanders last weekend and has been sidelined for an indefinite period.
Lavea is one of three players not considered for Saturday due to injury, the others being Liam Messam and Ben May.
Callum Bruce has been named to play outside Donald, with Richard Kahui at centre.
