KEY POINTS:
Coach Robbie Deans has opted to complete his contract with the champion Super 14 rugby side, the Crusaders, it was reported today.
The Sunday News said that Deans - contracted through the end of 2008 - would not take up the out-clause in his contract and head offshore this year.
A number of British and French clubs, the Waratahs and the Wallabies are said to be interested in Deans.
But while he has turned down interest from the European clubs and South Africa's Stormers franchise, he has not received any offer from the Wallabies or the Waratahs, the newspaper said.
Deans also wanted one more campaign with the Crusaders, and by staying on, he would be able to apply for the All Blacks coaching post following the World Cup.
Deans has won the NPC and led the Crusaders to six Super finals, capturing the crown in 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2006.
