The Crusaders have shown their faith in Wyatt Crockett.
The All Blacks prop who is under fire for apparent illegal scrummaging has been recalled to the run on side to face the Sharks on Sunday morning in Durban.
Assistant coach Aaron Mauger says they have no qualms in starting Crockett.
"We'd like to think one of those decisions aren't pre-meditated based on media influence, that they're able to go out there as a fair group because they're honest people and they try to play the game within the laws."
Meanwhile, the Crusaders are defending their decision to leave Richie McCaw out of the starting XV.
