Chiefs coach Ian Foster is looking for more individual responsibility from his players when they take on the Sharks in their Super 15 rugby match in Hamilton on Friday.
Foster said the unbeaten Sharks posed a real challenge for the Chiefs, who are looking to bounce back from last Saturday's 26-29 loss to the Hurricanes in Wellington.
"The key lessons from last week's frustrating loss were that we need to be more clinical and individuals need to take more responsibility for their skill areas," Foster said.
"We've worked hard in those areas this week, and we're looking to demonstrate this improvement at Waikato Stadium on Friday night."
Not considered for the match due to injury are Mils Muliaina, Ben Afeaki, Hayden Triggs, Colin Bourke and Toby Smith.
The team is:
Tim Nanai-Williams, Lelia Masaga, Richard Kahui, Tana Umaga, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Stephen Donald, Brendon Leonard, Liam Messam (captain), Tanerau Latimer, Scott Waldrom, Isaac Ross, Craig Clarke, Nathan White, Hika Elliot, Ben May.
Reserves: Aled de Malmanche, Sona Taumalolo, Romana Graham, Fritz Lee, Taniela Moa, Mike Delany, Dwayne Sweeney.
