KEY POINTS:
Cheetahs coach Rassie Erasmus has made sweeping changes for their Super 14 rugby match against the Chiefs in Bloemfontein tomorrow.
Young lock Flip van der Merwe will make his Super 14 debut while veteran Springbok prop Os Du Randt is back in the side after a break.
Two changes have also been made to loose forwards after their heavy loss to the Crusaders last weekend, with Darron Nell making way for Ryno van der Merwe at No 8 and Hendro Scholtz coming in for Kabamba Floors at flanker.
Tiger Manweni also forces out fullback Phillip Burger, who moves to the bench.
Springbok Michael Claasens, who did well off the substitutes bench on Saturday, replaces Falie Oelschig at halfback.
The Chiefs have been one of the unluckiest teams in the competition.
On top of a long injury list and some refereeing decisions that have gone against them at critical times, they have twice been pipped at the final whistle.
Despite being the only team to have lost all four matches, they have collected five bonus points, four for finishing within seven points.
Chiefs coach Ian Foster has opted for a new loose forward combination after the narrow loss to the Bulls last week.
He has Liam Messam to start on the blindside, Tanerau Latimer at openside and Sione Lauaki at No 8. Experienced campaigners Steven Bates and Marty Holah are on the bench.
