Brumbies captain Matt Giteau says his side won't be drawing any extra motivation from the chance to spoil the Waratahs' hopes for the finals in their Super Rugby clash tonight.
The Brumbies are solely focused on using their last match of the season to build momentum for 2012.
And Giteau said a win in his final match for the Brumbies was about his side, not crushing the seventh-placed Waratahs' hopes of qualifying for the six-team finals series.
"I don't really like that spoiler tag," he said.
"It is a bit of a negative tag but, for us, we just want to build on the last two weeks and, hopefully, get three wins against Australian teams back-to-back," Giteau said.
The Brumbies have posted wins in their past two matches over leaders Queensland Reds and the Melbourne Rebels and will be keen to continue their season-best form against NSW in Sydney. A victory will also avenge the 29-22 loss to the Waratahs in March.
"Obviously we want to finish on a high, while the Waratahs have a lot to play for," Giteau said.
"Although we don't have any semifinal spots to play for, there is a lot of pride within the group and, hopefully, we can show them that this weekend."
Giteau, who will head to France after the World Cup, is just one of several leaving the Brumbies at the end of this season.
