KEY POINTS:
Daniel Braid will decide his New Zealand future after the All Blacks squad to go on the end-of-year tour is named.
The Blues flanker thinks he would be lucky to gain selection in the mid-season All Blacks squad, but hopes to impress in time for the Grand Slam tour.
He points out that he came into the side halfway through the season due to shoulder surgery and does not think his form was that good, so he says he will feel pretty lucky if he does get named.
Braid is hoping for a role as back up to Richie McCaw at the end of the year.
However, if he misses out on the Grand Slam tour Braid says it would play a part in deciding if he heads off-shore.
He says he has two years left with New Zealand Rugby with an option to go overseas, although he will definitely stay until the end of this year.
