KEY POINTS:
Chiefs winger and fullback Sosene Anesi suffered a neck fracture in last night's match against the Hurricanes at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton.
A CT scan late this morning revealed a fracture to the C6 and C7 vertebrae in Anesi's neck, a spokeswoman said.
He is currently in a stable condition at Waikato Hospital and is not suffering any paralysis.
Anesi will not travel to South Africa with the Chiefs today. He has been replaced by winger Anthony Tahana.
The Hurricanes won the match 39-32, after Paul Tito scored a try in the dying moments of the game.
