Highlanders captain Anton Oliver is again expressing his reservations about the expanded Super 14, which will start next year.
Oliver has voiced his concerns to South African media in Durban overnight.
He is worried what effect the increased demand to perform will have on players.
He says that if you do not start pulling back on the workload of the top players, they are not going to be able to perform.
Oliver says the quality of the product will go down, the rugby will be low quality, and no one will watch it.
The Highlanders have had their first training run of the week as they prepare to face the winless Sharks this Sunday morning.
