Newby back for Highlanders

The Highlanders will have their first training run for the week in Durban on Tuesday night our time.

The players have been given Monday off to recharge their batteries after a longer than normal trip to South Africa.

There were lengthy delays getting out of Sydney.

In team news, Highlanders management has confirmed Craig Newby will be okay to play against the Sharks.

His neck injury has responded well to treatment after missing last Friday night's win over the Bulls.

First five Nick Evans definitely will not play this weekend due to a hamstring injury.
