The bulk of the Highlanders have come down with a 24-hour bug as they prepare to take on the Stormers in Cape Town on Sunday morning.
But given the already shaky past between New Zealand rugby teams and South African caterers, Otago rugby CEO Russell Gray is quick to down play the illness.
Gray says they are very happy with the hotel food, which has all been checked and tested.
He says he is just thankful it has happened earlier in the week rather than later.
The Highlanders were forced to cancel Tuesday's training and shorten yesterday's run.
