The Force have confirmed they will send several of their players to New Zealand to play in the new Premier Division in the NPC, rather than having them return to the lower standard of Sydney club rugby.
Force coach John Mitchell said his players need experience and the move is in the best interests of the franchise, with players needing the right direction after the Super 14 and looking to next year.
The decision has not pleased Sydney club coaches, where most of the Force players are based outside the Super 14.
The Force, who are rooted to the foot of the Super 14 table without a win in their debut season, play the Blues on Friday night at North Harbour Stadium.
