McCaw back in action soon

A return to rugby appears imminent for Crusaders captain Richie McCaw, but there is still no certainty if he will play this weekend.

McCaw has not played since a head knock against the Bulls a month ago.

However, he has been back in contact training, ahead of Friday's Super 12 match against the Hurricanes.

Crusaders coach Robbie Deans says McCaw is fit, but he is not in a position to confirm if he is in the frame for selection.

He says McCaw has been working a lot harder in preparation this week, including full contact work.

Deans will name his side tomorrow.
