Crusaders rugby halfback Justin Marshall is set to join an elite group of players with 100 Super 12 caps.
If he takes the field against the Cats at Jade Stadium on Saturday, he will join Wallabies halfback George Gregan and Highlanders skipper Anton Oliver who have reached a century of Super 12 caps.
Marshall is also one of only a very small list of players including Gregan, Oliver, Crusaders teammate Norm Maxwell, All Black captain Tana Umaga and Blues first five-eighth Carlos Spencer who have played Super 12 since the competition began in 1996.
Marshall has scored 21 tries and one dropped goal in his 99 games underlining his huge influence on a Crusaders side that has won four Super 12 titles.
Marshall has announced he will be joining joining English club Leeds after the All Blacks series against the Lions, which ends in July.
