Two weeks into the new Rebel Sport Super 12 season and the knives are out for Sharks coach Kevin Putt.
The Durban-based side has lost both its opening matches and were toothless against the Waratahs at the weekend.
South African correspondent David van der Sandt says the Durban faithful have had enough.
He says for the first time ever the Sharks crowd booed their own side off the field after the loss to the Waratahs.
Putt, the former Waikato and Natal halfback, has had a tough time of things since taking over from Rudolf Straeuli in 2002.
Van der Sandt says Putt is lucky to still be in the job.
He says that if it were not for the fact that former Springbok coach Ian MacIntosh is advisor to the South African sevens squad in Hong Kong next week, he probably would have taken over the Sharks by now.
He says that if the Sharks lose their next couple of matches, MacIntosh could be appointed as interim coach for the remainder of the Super 12.
