South African Jonathan Kaplan will referee the Super 12 rugby final between the Crusaders and Waratahs in Christchurch on Saturday.
The touch judges for the final are fellow South Africans Mark Lawrence and Tappe Henning.
Kaplan is also to control the third test between the All Blacks and the British and Irish Lions in July.
Meanwhile, Super 12 officials today announced how the winners will be determined if the scores were tied at the end of 80 minutes in the final.
Twenty minutes of additional playing time would be played and if the teams were tied at the end of extra time, the two teams would be declared joint winners.
