Former All Blacks coach John Mitchell is set to replace Eddie Jones as coach of Super Rugby franchise the Stormers, according to South African media.
Jones earlier this week signed on as the England head coach after just three weeks into the job at the Stormers.
Mitchell has previously coached Australian franchise the Western Force and South Africam side the Lions in Super Rugby following a three-year stint as All Blacks coach from 2002 to 2004.
Timeslive.co.za reports that Mitchell (51) is edging closer to finalising a deal with the franchise that topped the South African Conference this season before falling to the Brumbies at Cape Town in the quarter-finals.
Former coach Allister Coetzee departed to take over at Japanese club, the Kobe Kobelco Steelers after leading the Stormers to three straight South African conference titles.
