Illness has forced the Blues to make one change to their starting 15 for the Super 14 rugby match against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Saturday night.
Frequently-injured halfback Steve Devine has been stuck down by a viral infection and has been replaced by John Senio.
Coach David Nucifora said medical staff were not yet sure of the Devine's exact ailment but the player was feeling tired and lethargic.
"We didn't think he was going to be right in time and for a game like this you need people who are 100 per cent," he said.
Senio's return to the No 9 jersey means he will mark elder brother Kevin at Lancaster Park.
Meanwhile, the Crusaders have made three changes.
Aaron Mauger, who suffered an injury in in last weekend's win over the Sharks, was initially bracketed this morning with Cameron McIntyre for the Jade Stadium clash. However, he was ruled out soon afterwards by coach Robbie Deans.
The other changes see lock Brad Mika making his first start of the year, replacing Ross Filipo at lock, while Scott Hamilton comes onto the left wing. Hamilton pushes Caleb Ralph in one spot to centre with Casey Laulala dropped to the reserves.
