The Hurricanes have named a rejigged team to play the Crusaders in a Super 12 rugby match in Christchurch on Friday night.
Coach Colin Cooper has made four changes to his starting 15 from the side who beat the Blues last weekend.
In the backs, utility Isaac Boss has replaced Shannon Paku at fullback while captain and second five-eighth Tana Umaga has been rested and replaced by Tane Tu'ipulotu.
Blindside flanker Jerry Collins is on the reserves bench, with Chris Masoe promoted to the starting 15, and hooker Joe Ward will start ahead of Andrew Hore, another named on the bench.
Umaga suffered a hand injury against the Blues but Cooper said he would have played in the final round robin match against the Crusaders this week had the match been a semifinal.
In his absence, No 8 Rodney So'oialo will captain the team.
Both the Crusaders and Hurricanes have already qualified for the semifinals.
