Highlanders 30 Stormers 15
CAPE TOWN, South Africa - The Highlanders recorded their second win in South Africa after running in three tries to down the Western Stormers 30-15 at Newlands in a Super 14 rugby match last night.
That makes it two wins out of two for the Highlanders in their swing through the republic, after downing the Central Cheetahs last weekend.
The men from the south led the local side 17-10 at the break.
It was a good productive night for the Highlanders' backs.
Centre Seilala Mapusua and wingers Roy Kinikinilau and Vilimoni Delasau toyed with their counterparts.
Kinikinilau scored both tries for his team in the first 40 minutes, the first coming in the seventh minute when he opened the scoring.
The flying winger then finished the first half in style with his second touch down after some impressive handling from his teammates.
Replacement back Richard Kahui scored the Highlanders' third try to seal the four Super 14 points for his side.
For the Stormers, the loss of Springbok centre Jean de Villiers was a blow, when he was again forced to withdraw from the match because of injury.
SCORING
Highlanders 30 (Roy Kinikinilau 2, Richard Kahui tries; Ben Blair 3con 3pen); Stormers 15 (Rayno Benjamin, Naas Olivier tries; Peter Grant con pen).
