Rising Highlanders loose forward Elliott Dixon is itching to get his hands on Dan Carter.
In a light hearted interview with RadioSport, Dixon said Carter would be a target when the champion Highlanders play French club Racing 92 in Hong Kong early next month.
"Hopefully DC will be playing...if you can catch him hopefully well be able to smash him," said Dixon, who will be among the players gunning for All Black selection as a new era dawns.
The Highlanders were originally set to play Toulon but when they pulled out, Racing 92 stepped in and will be playing their third match in Hong Kong in recent years.
Dixon is in a new-look loose forward combination, with Liam Squire (Chiefs) and Luke Whitelock (Crusaders) replacing John Hardie and Nasi Manu, who are at Scottish club Edinburgh.
