The Highlanders have scotched suggestions that Brad Thorn could make a return to their injury hit side for Friday night's clash against the Blues.
General manager Roger Clark told the Herald that Thorn had not been approached, as speculation swirled that the outstanding All Black lock - who retired at the age of 40 last month - would answer an SOS.
The Highlanders have lost their four top locks to injury with loose forward Elliot Dixon among the candidates to fill in this week. Thorn was cut from the Highlanders after the 2014 season.
