Herring out for six months

Hurricanes openside flanker Ben Herring is out of the Super 14 rugby season after scans showed cartilage damage in his left knee.

Wellington's Serge Lilo has been called into the squad, with his Northern United clubmate Faifili Levave coming into the wider training group. Herring has been told he will be out of action for at least six months with the injury.
