The Western Force are expecting a torrid battle in tonight's Super 14 encounter with the Blues at North Harbour Stadium.
Both teams are desperate for a win - the Force their first, the Blues to stay alive in the race for the semifinals.
The Blues have had an inconsistent season to date, but Force prop David Fitter is not buying into suggestions they are a weak side.
He said they are always up for a tough encounter, especially in the tight five.
Fitter said the Force may have been hammered by the Blues in the pre-season, but they have grown a lot as a side since then.
Kick off is at 7.35pm.
* Tana Umaga makes his return from injury to the Hurricanes side for Sunday's match against the Highlanders at Carisbrook.
Umaga replaces Tane Tu'ipulotu at second five in the only change to the Hurricanes starting 15 for the match.
