In-form lock Ross Filipo has signed up with the Wellington Rugby Union for another three years.
Filipo says it is the biggest decision he has made in his rugby career .
He will play for the Lions in the NPC but will continue to be a draft player for the Crusaders Super 14 squad , where he has flourished in the last two Super 12 campaigns.
Crusaders coach Robbie Deans has given him an assurance he wants him for next season.
Ross Filipo says he likes the direction the Wellington Rugby side is taking and he wants to continue to be part of that, while continuing with the Super 12 champs.
It is a crucial signing for Wellington rugby, as Filipo's locking partner Luke Andrews looks set to take up a contract in Japan.
