Traffic management plans are in place to help avoid a repeat of last Friday night's crowd delays at Eden Park, primarily for the upcoming Lions matches.
Some fans missed the kick off in the Blues v Hurricanes match, due to the large crowd of 45,000 and traffic delays caused in part by the Auckland bus strike.
Eden Park Trust Board CEO John Alexander says they will not have to deal with the thick Friday night traffic, but it has certainly given them some pointers, and they have two traffic management plans in place for the Auckland match and the test.
He says police will decide on the day whether to close roads surrounding Eden Park, while there will be increased capacity on the trains, and over 300 buses heading to the ground.
Alexander says it is unlikely there will be another bus strike at match time, while they plan on having extra staff at entrances and inside the ground.
He says they will encourage people to take public transport and also start a media campaign with necessary information, two weeks before the matches.
