BRISBANE - Wallabies back Quade Cooper has been cleared to resume playing for Queensland and will line up in the Reds' final Super 14 trial match against the Western Force in Perth on Friday night.
Cooper, who is facing burglary charges, was given the green light today after completing the first stage of an intensive counselling and personal development program.
The 21-year-old was arrested on the Gold Coast in early December after allegedly stealing a laptop computer.
"Quade has done everything we have required from him since he agreed to begin the program on December 18 and has earned the privilege to again be considered for selection," said ARU high performance David Nucifora.
"However, Quade is also aware that we will closely monitor his performance in the program."
Cooper was selected at five-eighth for Friday's trial in a strong indicator he will wear the No 10 jersey against NSW in the Super 14 opener in Brisbane on February 13.
