The Blues have terminated the contract of Peter Saili and the loose forward will take up a contract in France later this month.
The New Zealand Rugby Union today announced they and the Blues had reached an agreement to end Saili's employment with immediate effect.
NZRU general manager of rugby Neil Sorensen said all three parties were satisfied with the outcome, which allowed Saili to head offshore to further pursue his career.
The 27-year-old played 71 games for the Blues since his debut in 2009 but was last year investigated for an alleged assault in June.
Saili was alleged to have beaten a 13-year-old boy whom he caught burgling his home, an incident investigated by the police without charges being laid.
