Chiefs players fined after brawl outside bar

Chiefs Super 12 rugby players Sean Hohneck and Scott Couch have been fined and reprimanded following a fight in central Hamilton city.

Team management won't say today how much the pair had to pay to charity after they traded blows outside Cullens Cafe and Wine Bar about midnight last Thursday.

Franchise head Gary Dawson said he met Couch and Hohneck and reviewed team manager Glenn Ross' report on the incident.

"I'm satisfied the incident started out as some friendly skylarking that got out of hand. It was over quickly and handled effectively by team mates at the time."
