The Chiefs recorded a thrilling Super 12 win over the Stormers in Cape Town.
They beat the Stormers 37-34, with a Stephen Donald penalty the only difference between the sides.
With only pride at stake for both teams, they each scored four tries.
Niva Ta'auso grabbed two for the Chiefs while Sosene Anesi and Donald also crossed.
David Hill kicked four conversions and two penalties.
Breyton Paulse, De Wet Barry and Bolla Conradie, with two, all scored for the Stormers, while Gaffie Du Toit also kicked four conversions and two penalties.
It is the first time the Chiefs have won at Newlands.
