Jordie Barrett shined for the New Zealand under-20 rugby side which crushed the Aussies 30-10 in game one of the Oceania Championship on the Gold Coast.
Jordie, who is the younger brother of All Black Beauden Barrett, scored a try, kicked two conversions and two penalties, rounding up his points total for the game to 15.
Wing Mason Emerson touched down over the try line twice and lock Quentin Strange scored New Zealand's other try.
The second and final Oceania Cup match will be played on Saturday night.
