The Hurricanes have reason to smile, with Brumbies first five Stephen Larkham out of this weekend's Super 14 game in Canberra.
The Wallabies playmaker is set for at least four to six weeks on the sidelines after suffering a grade two hamstring tear during Easter Sunday's loss to the Waratahs.
Larkham is aiming to play against the Crusaders in Christchurch in the last round on May 12, although that is a best-case scenario, because it is right on the cusp of four weeks.
Larkham could still miss the Super 14 semifinals, but expects to be fit for the Wallabies' first test against England on June 11 because he can not see the hamstring keeping him out for much more than six weeks.
The fourth-placed Brumbies are starting to teeter on the outer limits of the top four.
