Rugby doesn't get more grassroots than a 10-year-old Chiefs fan selecting the line-up against the British and Irish Lions on Tuesday.
Today, Sam Webb stood in front of the media scrum to announce the final Chiefs line-up against the Lions, receiving a round of applause for a near-perfect delivery.
The youngster from Cambridge's Goodwood Primary School was so confident about his selections for the Chiefs side that he phoned coach Dave Rennie in April to offer his advice.
Unfortunately he was out at rugby practice when Rennie called back, but Rennie persisted, inviting Sam to meet the team.
"He got a big round of applause, because some of them didn't realise Sam didn't select them," Rennie quipped.
