KEY POINTS:
South Africa finished a long international year on a high when they thrashed a World XV 32-7 in Leicester on Monday.
The result was a further boost to Springboks coach Jake White who had to fight for his job last week.
The Boks scored four tries before conceding a late touchdown to the World XV.
Wilkus van Heerden crossed for the only first-half try while lock Albert van den Berg (two tries) and Danie Rossouw completed the scoring for the Springboks in the second.
Australian winger Drew Mitchell scored a late consolation try for the World XV, with league convert Clinton Schifcofske showing his kicking prowess by slotting the sideline conversion.
The game marked South Africa's centenary as a touring side but also drew attention for another league convert making his first appearance in senior rugby since switching codes.
England's Andy Farrell began the game for the World XV at centre but made more impact when moved to first five.
Unfortunately for South Africa, Farrell's most memorable moment came at the start when he accidentally ended De Wet Barry's match.
Barry, renowned for his defence, slammed his head into Farrell's hip while attempting a tackle.
The World XV assembled from all over the world earlier in the week which showed on the pitch as they struggled for any coherence right throughout the match.
World XV: Drew Mitchell try; Clinton Schifcofske con.
South Africa: Wilkus van Heerden, Albert van den Berg 2, Danie Rossouw tries; Francois Steyn 3 pen, con; Ruan Pienaar pen.
