KEY POINTS:
Eric Rush's prediction
Former All Black Eric Rush said the French at home were a powerful team and they would be the ones to meet the All Blacks in the final.
Rush said the All Blacks had proven themselves in the tri-nations and Bledisloe that they had what it takes to win the Webb Ellis silver-ware.
"I think they've taken rugby to a new level, everyone's been watching them and hopefully they've kept something back," Rush said.
He said ball carrying skills, the expansive game, and the depth in New Zealand rugby would see the All Blacks shine through.
"At the end of the day there's only 15 fellas who can get on a field. There's a lot of competition for places and that's a good thing," Rush said.
Rush said only one team could stop the All Blacks from getting to the final and that was the All Blacks.
"They've proven they can do it but the number one danger is themselves."
He said at the last World Cup, the All Blacks lost the semi-final against Australia because they treated it as just another game.
"In many ways, I used to do that too, otherwise you get too uptight and at some stage you've got to release the pressure," Rush said.
But if the All Blacks display a mental toughness, then they will be competing at the Stade de France on October 21.
