Replacement Romanian halfback Florin Surugiu was quick to put his side's defeat to Ireland behind him immediately following fulltime today when he called his girlfriend on to the field and proposed.
Moments after going down to Ireland 44-10 at Wembley Stadium, the Romanian squad linked arms and headed back outon to the pitch in what appeared to be an opportunity for a team photo.
But Surugiu had other plans, talking his girlfriend down on to the field and stunning thousands of onlookers by dropping to one knee to propose.
Romania might not have had much joy in their six-tries-to-one defeat, but Surugiu was a winner, with his girlfriend eagerly accepting as the pair was surrounded by teammates and fans.
