The All Blacks have had mixed news today with Zac Guildford ruled out of Sunday's Rugby World Cup quarter-final clash against Argentina at Eden Park.
The Hawke's Bay winger has succumbed to a hamstring injury. Even though Guildford scored four tries against Canada, he wasn't expected to be in the mix for the matchday 22.
All Blacks assistant coach Steve Hansen meanwhile allayed fears captain Richie McCaw will miss any World Cup games because of his foot injury, saying he will play out the remainder of New Zealand's involvement in the tournament.
McCaw has been struggling with a foot injury for much of 2011 and was withdrawn from the team to play Canada in the weekend.
But Hansen emphasised this morning it was decided not to risk McCaw with bigger games ahead and, while they would manage McCaw's load for the rest of the tournament, he would play. He missed the game against Japan with a calf injury.
