Welsh referee Nigel Owens has added to his reputation as the sharpest wit in international rugby with a cheeky ticking off of All Blacks match-winner Dan Carter in this morning's World Cup final.
Shortly after receiving a penalty following a wave of Aussie attacks during a resurgent Wallaby second half comeback, an exhausted Carter stepped up to clear the ball to touch and commented to Owens something to the effect of: 'I'm f*****!".
Owens immediately responded: "Don't swear, you're on telly."
Carter smiled and thumped the ball into touch.
