PARIS - More than 2.25 million tickets were sold for the 2007 World Cup which comes to an end later today, officials said.
"It's the World Cup of all records in terms of tickets sold but also in the number of TV viewers, both in France and abroad, as well as tourists which were around 400,000," said tournament director Claude Atcher.
