Rugby World Cup: All Blacks destroy France

The All Blacks convincingly beat France at Eden Park tonight. Were you at the game or Party Central? Tell us your views of the night.

The All Blacks have made a massive statement at Rugby World Cup 2011 by thumping France 37-17 at Eden Park.

In captain Richie McCaw's 100th test the New Zealanders scored five tries to two in claiming top spot in Pool A.

The French spent the first eight minutes of the match attacking the All Blacks line but were repelled time and time again.

As soon as the home side got their hands on the ball inside the French half they were able to score, when a Maa Nonu break set loose forward Adam Thomson over for the opening try.

The second try was beautifully worked set play which saw a deft pass from halfback Piri Weepu to winger Cory Jane, who went in untouched.

Daniel Carter's trickery put fullback Israel Dagg in for the third try before Dagg's footwork close to the line was too good for the French defence and the bonus point was secured.

The All Blacks will have some injury concerns however.

Jane was forced from the field shortly before halftime as precaution for a head knock and his replacement Sonny Bill Williams was one of the second half stand outs.

The in-form Richard Kahui left the field in the second half limping off with a hamstring strain.

Both Thomson and Dagg picked up leg knocks late in the match and came from the field.
