New Zealand punters are backing the All Blacks to win the World Cup final on Sunday but a large number have wagered on the Wallabies.
Just over 57 per cent of all 2541 bets over the past seven days have been placed on the All Blacks to win the World Cup. Interestingly, nearly 43 per cent are backing Australia.
The TAB have been charting who punters think will win the World Cup based on the number of bets for the overall winner.
Their World Cup markets opened in July 2014 and, when charted against Australia only, support for the All Blacks over the Wallabies peaked at 84 per cent from February to August. It dipped following the start of the tournament and now sits at 67 per cent of all cumulative bets compared to Australia.
