KEY POINTS:
Paris - Lock Mike James and prop Rod Snow will take part in their fourth rugby World Cup next month in France.
The two veteran forwards were named in the 30-strong Canadian squad named today by coach Ric Suggitt.
Also chosen were skipper Morgan Williams and prop Jon Thiel, both for their third World Cups and another five players - prop Kevin Tkachuk, lock Jamie Cudmore, flanker Colin Yukes, first five-eighth Ryan Smith and halfback Ed Fairhurst - who also played in Australia four years ago.
Thiel's return to duty is the most remarkable having undergone open heart surgery just over a year ago.
"As a coaching staff we're happy with this World Cup squad," Suggitt said.
"Everyone is working hard and is putting their bodies and brains together to become better.
"I think they will be a joy for Canadians to watch when we get to the World Cup."
There was no place in the final squad, however, for promising teenaged No 10 Nathan Hirayama, who Suggitt overlooked despite his performances at under-19 level.
"He's had a very good year and has a bright future ahead of him," Suggitt said.
"If anyone gets a bump or a bang, he might still end up at the World Cup, but at this time he is just the unfortunate one left out."
The Canadians have been drawn in a group containing two-time champions Australia, Wales, Fiji and Japan.
They open against Wales in Nantes on September 9.
