KEY POINTS:
MONTPELLIER - Western Force fullback Cameron Shepherd's World Cup rugby dream was resurrected after he was called into Australia's 30-man squad.
Shepherd, seen as a certain selection before his impressive Super 14 campaign was blighted by injury, will replace injured Wallabies utility back Mark Gerrard.
Gerrard was ruled out of the tournament after rupturing a knee medial ligament in the opening 91-3 thumping of Japan in Lyon last Saturday.
Shepherd will leave for Cardiff in the next couple of days and join the Wallabies there before Saturday's pool B match against Wales.
