KEY POINTS:
PARIS - Argentine captain Agustin Pichot could miss their World Cup rugby match against Namibia in Marseille on Sunday (NZT) because of injury, the halfback said today.
"I'm still not good, the injury has not evolved as I'd hoped," Pichot said in Lyon where Argentina have been based since their last pool D match, a 33-3 win over Georgia.
Pichot, who led the Pumas to an upset 17-12 victory over hosts France in the tournament's opening match in Paris, missed the Georgia game with a leg muscle injury.
Coach Marcelo Loffreda's policy has been to field only players who are fully fit.
If Pichot is not ready to play against Namibia his place in the team would again be filled by Nicolas Fernandez Miranda.
Argentina will be looking for a big score against Namibia, who lost 10-87 to France today, before facing Ireland in their final pool game in Paris on October 1.
The Pumas will hope to be at full strength against Ireland with No 8 Gonzalo Longo back in the side after missing all their matches so far.
After two matches, Argentina and Ireland have nine points apiece with the French on six before their meeting with the Irish at the Stade de France on Saturday.
