KEY POINTS:
New Zealand will be the first port of call when the Webb Ellis Cup makes an international tour ahead of September's tournament in France.
The trophy will be taken to all four countries to have won it - New Zealand, Australia (twice), South Africa and England - courtesy of World Cup official airline Emirates. At each stop the winning captain will host a series of activities promoting this year's tournament.
The All Black triumph in the inaugural tournament in 1987 on home soil was led by halfback David Kirk. The other victorious skippers were Nick Farr-Jones (1991), Francois Pienaar (1995), John Eales (1999) and Martin Johnson (2003).
The cup will arrive in Auckland on June 18 before heading to Sydney.
"The world tour is a fantastic idea and a great way to get people excited about this year's tournament," said International Rugby Board chairman Syd Millar.
