All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw has ended speculation about a possible move to Europe next year, and has confirmed he will remain in New Zealand after the World Cup.
The 26-year-old has conceded that, ideally, his contract should have already been sorted out.
McCaw's contract with the NZRU runs until the end of the World Cup and delays in signing a new deal have prompted reports he may join a European club.
However, McCaw has told reporters at the team's base in Aix en Provence that he will be playing in New Zealand next year and hopes to have all contract details sorted within a couple of weeks. He has to have put pen to paper by October 12.
McCaw says it would have been good to have it sorted by now but he has people back in New Zealand doing it for him and it should be all done soon.
McCaw is set to lead the All Blacks against Scotland on Monday,
